Solve : i want to disable dreamweaver extension openings.?

Answer»

I INSTALLED my adobe master collection CS3, and Dreamweaver came in the package, when i dblclick on any css file it automatic opens with dw.
Before it opend with notepad.

can i change it so it will open with Notepad++?

And so with Adobe Fireworks, it opens gif animations, and other pictures can i remove all fileopenings? if so how?Right CLICK the CSS file.
Where it says 'Open With', click Change and change it to Notepad++ (great program by the way)

Same thing with the .gif animation.

Is that what you're looking for?it doesn't help with dbl click.
and if i go by "something.css" -> properties -> open with npp it works as i wanted.
than all css files will be opend with npp , but is there a place in regedit that handles all file extensions so i can delete all at a time such as gif,png and css?I don't think I fully understand...

Do you want one file to be opened with Notepad++or all .css files? Quote from: Carbon Dudeoxide on June 23, 2008, 06:59:02 AM

all.

ok, let's remove all auto opening extensions. the computer will not know what program to open the file with.Try this:

Right click the file and go to Open With

Click on Choose Program

Choose the program you wish to open the file with, check the box and press OK.

Is this what you're after?
still dont get it?Right Click the file (LIKE in your First picture)

Click Öppna Med and choose the bottom option (like my pictures)

That way you can check the box to open like that EVERY time you double click that file. Quote from: Carbon Dudeoxide on June 23, 2008, 07:56:59 AM

 - ps opens lots of extensions. (i dont want it to open anything)
 - if i do as you SHOWN with, jpg i still will have to doo it with every other image format. There aren't a lot of image formats.....Pretty much .bmp, .jpg and .gif

I don't know of any registry key that does this and I wouldn't go messing with the registry unless I knew what I was doing.

I know that if you go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT you can see all filetypes. Quote from: Carbon Dudeoxide on June 23, 2008, 08:04:44 AM

okay thankyou finaly i found it.
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\[.imageformat]\(standard) delete string.
and then you have a computer that opens the file with the default windows program, if existing. So you got it? yap
