Solve : IBM Product Recovery program? |

Answer» This is my first posting, so bear with me. While attempting to install Windows XP Service Pack 2 and my IBM ThinkPad, the installation STOPPED and I can no longer boot up my system. The message I get is "winsrv not found". So, while booting I press F11 to access the "IBM PRODUCT Recovery program" and get a couple of choices - "IBM Rapid Restore PC" and "Factory CONTENTS". Which should I use as I obviously don't want to LOSE my data? How are you trying to install Windows XP SP2? Via Windows Update or by use of a Windows XP SP2 CD or by use of an SP2 CD?I was trying to install using Windows Update, but now I can't EVEN boot my system.
