hi all, about 4 years ago while the pc was downloading updates before it shut off I inadvertantly switched the pc off. Since then I cant access my ebay account with IE7 or 8, it doesn't bother me because i can with firefox. I'd just like to resolve the problem if i can, to put my mind at rest. I've tried these ideas:- deleted all browser history, disabled add-ons, re-installed ie7&8. It's only that PAGE i cant access.COOKIES ENABLED ? ?cookies are blocked in IEEnable first party & session cookies. You can block 3rd party cookies.allan, done what you advised, no luck. What about resetting IE config settings.No harm in trying.that didn't work. Wonder if it has anything to do with the DNS or IP address. I can't understand why it's only this one specific WEBSITE yet i can access it using ff.Try deleting your index.dat file (you can use ccleaner to do that for you), reboot, and then try again (make SURE cookies are still enabled. I already do that with CCleaner. I'm stuck for ideas, i know i can use FF but i'd still like to solve this if possible, it's bugged me for so long. BTW SSL and TSL are enabled.
