Solve : iE window help?

Answer»

I have win 7. and use the iE that came with it.

If I am on a website and want to go to another website but be ABLE to come back to the FIRST one I can not do the Minamize window thing like I did with xp.

How do I do this thanks?I think you can still click on the underscore line to minimize the window.  Did you go to the other website with the same browser or open another one.  Tabbed browsing with IE is pretty easy.  To open another tab and stay on your current page just Cntl+T.I did try to open a new Tab but I just get a Blank screen telling me Your Most Resant Websites.

And there are a fue here.

But they don't work or I am not useing it right.

And if I do say go to Google.com and Minamize the window.

The iE Icon on the Taskbar goes away so I can't click on it to open a new window.

The only thing on the Taskbar is the Google.com iE that I minamized.

But I think I may know what is going on but I don't know how to get to it?

There is a setting for let iE have One Instance At A TIME
and I put a check mark in it..

Shoud I have no check marck in it??? Quote

Sorry, I don't know why they wouldn't work.  I changed my tab setting for when I open a new tab to "the new tab page" and I see what you see when you open a new tab but I can click on the sites and they work.  When you open Google and minimize the browser can you open a second browser by doing anything?  Quote from: nymph4 on December 03, 2011, 09:01:36 PM

I get the impression you don't UNDERSTAND the purpose of a tabbed browser.  With a tabbed browser -  which includes all modern browsers, I believe - you don't need to open a separate window for each website.  You can open many websites at the same time in one browser window. You might try reading this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tab_%28GUI%29OK this will help a lot.

Say I am on TigerDirect.com and I want to go to Google.com and do some searching around and then to to a DVD Store.

Then I want to go back to TigerDirect.com but I don't want to have to type in the address again.

I do not know how to do this??Tabs...
See Here...Patios link is better than mine to answer your questions.  But as an example, I usually use fire fox and generally have 9 tabs open.  Some sites refresh automatically, and some you need to hit the refresh button.  But most sites you can go from tab to tab much faster than retyping in site names.

BC once said he usually has about 60 TAPS open.
