Solve : Image problems?

Answer»

ok i hope this goes here if not sorry.

ok heres my problem im a collector of artisitc photgraphs and such, i have about 2,000 pictures in about 50 or so folders, in my documents they've all worked fine untill recently, the image wont show in thumbnail view its just shows the jpeg sign or whatever, but after a lil while some pictures it doesnt even show that it was just a white box, not only that many of my pictures wont show up when i click on preview says "drawing failed"

and now this is happening

please help

i dont think its because of the amount of images i have cause ive had mass amounts before and nothing like this has happend and i dont think its a memory issue cause i still have about 17 gigs left on my hard driveLet me get this straight.... When you open the folder, the images do not display in the thumbnail style, right? Or am I wrong?

[glb]Flame[/glb]yes they do not display in thumbnail view heres a screen shot of what im talking about. also if you notice in the 1st screen shot but im missing icons next to folders

i believe to the left there should be icons where the 2 red circles are and notice this is in filmstrip mode and there is no large preview area, sorry screen shot didnt come out

Erg sorry for triple posting but i think it was because i accidently tried a bmp file so here

I see... Try hitting Thumbnails in that MENU that you showed me... Now what happens?

[glb]Flame[/glb]Woa!!! insane what did you do, its all BETTER i can view each image great ,

but still just for future refferance for anyone else that might have this problem do you know anything about it???

and in thumbnail view it looked same as in the screen shot cept scrolled down instead of across.

Thank you for your interast in helping meWell, I'm glad to see that everything worked out! Now, as for what I know about the problem.... Either a user CHANGED them intentionally, or you just pressed a "hotkey" accidently, and it got changed that way...

[glb]Flame[/glb]By the way... What program did you use to take those digital images? They look good!

[glb]Flame[/glb]the screen SHOTS you mean, i just did a basic screen shot pasted it in paint than transfered them to adobe photoshop 7.0I see.... But HOW did you take the screen shot? What application did you use to take the picture?

[glb]Flame[/glb]heres how i did it i pressed "Prt Scr" print screen as im sure you know, than went to Paint and pressed paste than re-opened it in adobe Ps 7.0 and saved it as Jpeg.

im not too sure what you mean by application like do you mean did i use a SPECIAL program to do it.

but thats how i did it as a stated up there,  exactly

sorry im not too computer savey so i cant explain it better.

if that wasnt what your talking about, just try and explain it to the lowest denomenator, should simplify it

sorry if im frustrating you, i dont mean to beOh! I see! What I meant by program was this... Most computers require that you buy some other type of software before you can take pictures like that! I shoudl have guessed that the Print Screen key would have done it! Ususally, that button does not display the images SO clear, like yours came out... Thanks!
