Solve : InCD?

Answer»

While loading my programs after changing my HDD, I inadvertently loaded this PROGRAM called InCD. It is a program which allows me to format a CD-+ RW or DVD-+RW so that it acts LIKE a HDD or floppy. You can write to it just by copy and paste. You can RETRIEVE FILES from it, modify them and send them back to the CD/DVD. I've been using it for about 2 weeks and it seems to work well. If you erase it the disk can then it be used for ordinary burning. This program came from a Nero Smartstart disk and I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with such a program. Please leave you comments if you have.
I've used InCD before, and it gave me nothing but trouble.
Other users on these forums will tell you the same.
In my experience, it either works brilliantly or it doesn't work at all.I tried using InCD back about two years ago to have the capability to use a CD as a big floppy.  One thing I recall is that files I had put on a CD-RW  using InCD could be read by the computer on which I originally created the CD-RW but not on other computers, even if they had InCD installed.Allow me to echo the above 2 comments...there are other packet-writers out there but after the price of blank media got reasonable i pretty much walked away from it altogether.

patio.   8-)Mine is working well so far and thanks for your comments. I only use it for backing up my files.Good luck then. I agree with the others and wouldn't use it at all regardless.
