There should be a JUMPER on your motherboard. The pins that the jumper is on will probably be labeled: pwd or something similar. Remove that jumper. Make sure that you ground yourself to the computer's case the whole time you are working inside. Static electricity can fry your motherboard! The manual should tell you where that jumper is. Where is this machine from and what is the History on it ? ? guys it works! i did the jumper and restarted computer and went into bios finally and found out cdrom was disabled. so i enabled it and booted off a cd and did a CLEAN install. thanks for the help |
