Answer» I recently just bought a new computer, but my old has been sitting in my BASEMENT for awhile. Reason being was the power supply was burned out. I went to the store and bought a new power supply for a Compaq Presario 4000 Series. Fairly old computer in the technology world. However, I cannot remember which power connectors connected to what. Does it matter which power connectors (RED, 2 Black & a yellow cable) connect to which device? (Hard Drive, disk drive, etc.) I've tried multiple WAYS and the computer turns on each time but my MONITOR doesn't display anything? Is that not the fault of the power supply CONNECTIONS but a video card problem? The video card never had a problem before. Please help! Thanks. :-)
