i am tring to install a new OS xp home on a dell computer. it starts fine and when its about to install windows it stops and tells me that if you see this MESSAGE again the computer will shut down to PROTECT it. it doesn't get me to the point to delete partions and so on. gettting error before.

put in XP hit F12 goes to windows setup gets to setup is STARTING windows it stops.

blue screen with a long code:

problem has been detected windows has been shut down....

on and on

last code i got was setupdd.sys

etc.

it tells me to disable bios cashing... how and where...not in my bios section...

no im not using a new retail CD. burnt CD
