I am wondering ... they say that running windows on mac using the bootcamp software has better performance than does running windows normally on a PC?

And you can't remove MacOS from a Mac computer and run ONLY windows or linux or whatever?Why buy a MAC if all U want is to run Win? One reason Wins runs better on MACs is because MAC r built better. Now wait everyone before we get into the Mac vs Wins war of words. MAC usually have more of a hi end hardware then buying a PC from the self. If u want to run Wins just but any PC and upgrade. Or just upgrade your exciting PC.Well, I was just wondering, not that I'd get a mac anytime soon. I have a pc which does me just fine so .....

It 's not so much "so many millions of PC guys lucked out" . I t is more of the the logic board is built. Wins was MADE to run on a any MB, while OS X was design to on a specific logic board. That is why Apple is sometime refer to more has a hardware company then a SW company. I don't think this so true today with Unix being the foundation of OS X.

And as Dias de verano, Mac fans might be dorks. U might be ashamed to be seen with a Mac. But when was the last time u bragged about your Win box? Ask any Mac owner they will start BRAGGING and telling u how much better their Mac compare to a Win box. When was the last time u heard a Win box being better then a Mac?Quote

Well spotted.
Some people like the design of the MacBook or iMac, but they want the flexability of Windows. I have a MacBook that I run Windows exclusively on. It is the best way to run Windows on a laptop, in my opinion, because you get a basic copy of Windows without all that other crappy software that OEM's put on their laptops. Most of it is useless and slows down your laptop.MacBook + iMac = iBook
