What is the computer or MOTHERBOARD make/model and the computer configuration - processor/RAM/hard drive? If it can't boot from CDROM is it enough of a computer to run XP?

In fact there is a relatively easy solution to this problem. Smart BootManager enables you to boot from CDROMs even though the BIOS may not support that.

That SAID, if your BIOS is so old it doesn't boot from CD, the system is likely to be so slow that your WinXP EXPERIENCE will be painful at best.
