Answer» I have an HP Pavilion a6300f that came with Vista on it. The hard drive died so I bought a new 500GB harddrive, but I want to just install XP Pro on it. Wil I have any install problems relating to factory installed components?Possibly not but check that XP drivers are AVAILABLE for your installed hardware. I got lucky and my laptop being cheap was somwhat popular and someone bundled all the drivers and handed them out. What a nice guy! That being said it looks somewhat the same for this model.
