i have an aopen custom pc-desktop- my question is, where on my ( aopen motherboard) is the plugin for my sata interface cable go? i can't find it anywhere's.
i have a 3.5"internal harddrive upgrade kit,
it's a SEAGATE 500gb/go 16mb cache. please help thank youcan't SEE it from here...cloudy today.
what about amboard model # ? ?aopen ax34 if thats what you meanThe port will look LIKE this


Is this your motherboard?

This one doesn't have a SATA port.

In order to use that drive you'll need to get a SATA to PATA adapter.this is my motherboard

Won't work with that 10-year old motherboard. I don't think 500MB IDE will work either. 80GB IDE is about MAX. due to age of BIOS.alright, thanks for your time, appreciate it alot
