Answer» Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me here. I have a computer that access to the internet via cable modem. What've been happening is that since early this morning, the internet connection has been dropping out every now and then for about 20 times already. I rang up the cable modem ISP and they said it looked FINE on their end (not sure if that's true). don't know what to do?
However, i think i have to tell you this too. I also have a VPN box attached to the network.
This is how it's set up. From the cable modem, a network cable's hooked up to the VPN box that acts as a router and then a laptop was connected to the VPN box. This setup has been there for a while. Hence, i don't quite believe if this may be to due to the VPN box. I believe the VPN connection also RELIES upon the internet connection too. But who knows it might be due to the box.
Any help is greatly APPRECIATED. Thank you in advance Thank you in advanceAre you by any chance USING a cable SPLITTER to also connect a television for some free channels?Best way to see if it involves the VPN box is to take it completely out of the loop...do a direct connect to the existing machine and see what happens.
