Why can’t you assume Internet Explorer is WORKING if you can OPEN your home page?What?Its a homework question for my networking class.We don't do homework here.ANSWER: why can you SEE some webpages offline if you have disconnected from the internet?Personally, if you said, "Internet Explorer is not working," I would assume you meant the window won't even open.

But in this case the window LOOKS to be open.
It's the cache I would think.
Your homepage would most likely be cached and would be displayed even if you aren't connected to the internet.

Giving people the answers to their homework breeds ignorance and laziness, IMHO
