Answer» Hello, just recently i have noticed some unusual behavior in my computer. To start with, my internet connection was disconnected. This has been a problem for me for quite a while. My internet connection was lost and i couldn't reconnect to it. Vista was telling me the computer was in range of the network router. Which is not true, because i have never had problems before. It took 10 restarts to get it working again. I dont know what the problems is? It keeps disconnecting randomly and doesn't allow me to re-connect, it just tells me tha im not in range, and sometimes it tells me my settings aren't correct for the connection. Which i know is not true. And when i finally get a connection again, everything works fine. I have also noticed some unusual behaivor while playing games on the internet. The game will connect alright, but when im in the server, after i spawn my ping rises from 34 to 500, and back down again and then back up again? This happens in my games like , counter strike source and Insurgency. What is happening it has only started hapening recently, WELL it has happened before, but not this bad. I have previously posted a log and it is said to be clean, soo ? Please don't offer money for help. Help is free and on a voluntary basis. It happened to me. May I also add that the driver software for my wireless card is from 2005? I tried UPDATING the other day and it screwed the whole card, it was rendered in operable. So i had to system restore. Yes i do have anti-virus, im running Avast 4 home edition.sorry, but i didnt think AV is the problem here. It might only resulted because of -as you say- software / system driver problem, or MAYBE networking fault. have you tried re-install network components? steps is: open up add/remove program -> SELECT add/remove window components -> first untick(remove) networking SERVICES -> restart your computer -> then select(tick) again the networking components.

steps is:
