Solve : internet wont work?

1.	Solve : internet wont work?
Answer» just reinstalled my computer,and windows. everything works except the internet. modem is installed, yet it dosent recognize the ethernet cable.please help my computer is a HP PAVILLION 725n with windows xp HOME editionWhen you say you reinstalled your computer I assume that means you just installed a NEW Operating System. If so, you need to install the chipset driver followed by all other drivers (video, audio, modem, ETC).already fixed it thanks anyway
