Solve : Invalid Boot Diskette???

Answer»

Sigh...I know absolutely nothing about computers...But I do know that mine's really messed up

When I start my computer it says:

Invalid Boot DISKETTE
Insert BOOT diskette in drive A:

I have no idea what that means...But if I type anything, or push any button, it just keeps repeating itself...

I've been trying to figure out how to fix it, I think I might be in way over my head.  Nothing seems to make sense to me...Because I know nothing about computers.

So if anyone can HELP me or give me any tips, or let me know where I can go to get help, if this isn't the place, that'd be great.Eject the disk in A drive. There is no disk in.Go into bios & set your hard drive as first boot.Sigh...For some reason when I started it up this time...It WORKED...But It's done this before and then just gone back to the error the next time I start it up...Oh well...Thanks a lot for the help.Make a boot disk, it might come in handy later.  What's a boot disk? Why do I need one? and how do I make one?A boot diskette is a diskette that contains useful tools for both experts and novice.

You are often prompted to CREATE one during the installation of Windows 95, 98(SE). However, you can download them as well.
