Answer» I am still fighting with tryin to recover my old user profile destop folders. is it possible to TAKE an image file of my C DRIVE and reformat then when I have more time run search and recover4 to find my old files from the image file? I want to reformat now becase i need my computer and can try to recover the files later. I know that reformating will cause the computer to overwrite the old files thats why i was wondering if the IMage file would save EVERYTHING from the Hard drive.. Just a thought. Do a search for "free data RECOVERY software" There are several products that might work. If the data is valuable buy a new hard drive and reinstall windows to get your computer going until you can recover the data on the old drive. If you reformat the old drive all files will be lost.I wouldn't recommend doing that. |
