Solve : Is there a way to block users from installing any programs in Win7?? |

Answer» I just finished installing Windows 7 on my Mom's PC. She has a lot of bad luck when it comes to computer problems, but I think most of the problems are the result of my brother (who STILL lives at home) thinking he knows what he's doing and then messing things up. Is there a way to set up the computer so that users will not be able to install or uninstall programs, etc? I'm thinking of how my PC at work is, if I attempted to download and install something, I get a message that I need admin rights to proceed. I have a FEELING the easiest way to do it would be to set up individual password protected accounts, and give him one that doesn't ALLOW installation or modification. Is there a way to set up the SYSTEM WITHOUT setting up separate accounts though?You'll need to set up limited user accounts. |
