[attachment deleted by admin]Hello, I'm having a very similar problem (let me know if I should make a NEW post about this). My Windows XP won't boot and the box that pops up for me says: "lsass.exe unable to locate COMPONENT" and then it says "...failed to start because LSASRV.dll not found.." which is followed by a blank screen where I only have the mouse pointer. This also occurs when I try to boot from safe mode. I do have a Windows CD, but I'm not sure that my CD-ROM is working properly. What are the steps I should take with the Windows CD...and is there a way I can fix this without a CD? Thanks! |
