Hi,  i need some help REGARDING the hidden files..

I have windows 98....well, i had a few important files on my pc which i dint want others to see....so i CLICKED on properties n made them hidden.. n wenever i needed to view them i went to folder options n selected the show all hidden files...

i decided may b this was not secure enough.. so i downloaded a security prog n installed it....but wen i installed it..it removed the folder options from the view menu..so i cant view my hidden files anymore or make them unhidden..

so any can help with that ...even if u can tell me how to CHANGE those files properties so that they r unhiddn..that will b of great help

It would be helpful if you could tell us what this "security program" is and what it does.  that security prog is "easy file and folder protector"..i dint use it though..all i did was install it

even wen i uninstalled it..i still cant find the folder options menu so i cud view all the hidden files//

and plus i hav no idea how to make those hiddn files unhidden
