Solve : Issue with cursor moving to new cell or subject without clicking my touchpad.?

Answer»

When I move my cursor to a cell, that I want to update, if I move my cursor to another cell, it is automatically made the ACTIVE cell. Are we to assume you're talking about MICROSOFT Excel?   And assuming we are talking about Excel:
Is the cell locked?
Is the document read-only or protected? Quote from: soybean on July 07, 2007, 04:01:18 PM

I didn't explain my problem well at all. In any screen or program, the cursor will automatically activate a button if it rests on that button for a few seconds. This problem may not be XP. It may be my HP zv5000 laptop. I do not USE a mouse. I use the touchpad. As I am typing, if I move the cursor to another field, if it rests there for a few seconds, my typing moves from the original cell and continues my entry in the new field that the cursor activated. The terms I am using to explain this problem are probably not the best. This is the first time I ever wrote into a site to ask a question. Thank-you so much for attempting to find out what I am really trying to say. Do you run Windows Update?
