Solve : Itunes library formatting? |
|
Answer» YESTERDAY I nuked my harddrive and loaded XP plus XP service pac2. Everything is working fine accept my itunes. I am getting a message: "ITunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly". I downloaded itunes 8.1.1 and it POPULATED my library fine, but song will not launch. Itunes support says my library of songs are not formatted and it is a CONFLICT with XP. Any ideas? You need to install Quicktime . http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ Since you just reinstalled windows I BET you don't have it installed, and others have said it fixed the problem. You can also try this. Quote Open QuickTime Player and go to 'Edit' -> 'Preferences' -> 'QuickTime Preferences' -> 'Audio' -- Here you will see a Device is needed that will play your sound. Select 'Audio Playback and Recording Devices'. I have Realtek AC'97 as my device. I had to reinstall it to fix my problem. If you are having an Audio problem it may be DUE to having no device or an improper device. |
