Solve : just reformatted?

i just reformatted and the video card i was using is not working at all the monitor detects it but nothign displays, i tried using another card (radeon 9200) the other one is a GEFORCE fx 5500. the radeon works however when i go to change SETTINGS, windows automatically restarts and none of the settings are saved. i THINK there MAY be a hardware problem with the fx 5500 but i DONT know why there would be one. and i just have no clue for the radeon, i have amd 64 3400+ anda gig of ram.hey joller

do u have the proper drivers for the fx 5500?

and by the sound of windows restarting, it sounds like it is defenetly a hardware problem. Quote
