Solve : KERNEL DATA INPAGE ERROR?

Answer»

Hi, I'm getting BSOD at random times while my computer is running forcing me to reset the computer everytime. It happens more often when I am running multiple softwares at the same time. It's been happening for at least 2 years now and I still haven't been able to find out what's causing the problems. Normally I would be able to leave my computer on for weeks without getting the blue screen but it has been getting worse. Now it seems like it shows up every 5 minutes or so. Please help and thanks in advance.

KERNEL DATA INPAGE ERROR

here are some THINGS that I have tried already but didn't fix the problem:

  • Reformated Windows XP
  • Added a new hard drive and installing Windows XP onto that
  • memtest
Is the error message you posted complete, is there not a STOP code with it?

Technical Information:

STOP: 0x0000007A (0xC03DD0EC, 0xC000000E, 0xF743B2A0, 0x1336C860)

SCSIPORT.SYS - Address F743b2A0 base at F7433000, DateStamp 41107b4b

Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete.

Also, don't know if this would help but sometimes it would display ntfs.sys or something like that instead of SCSIPORT.SYS.Does this machine have a SCSI hard drive installed ? ?
Did you remember to re-install the MBoard drivers when you re-installed XP ? ?Heres a list of drivers that come up when I insert the motherboard CD, but I'm not sure if I should go ahead and install everything. Do I install SiS AGP Driver if I already have nvidia drivers installed? There's no integrated video driver so I'm a bit confused here. I have already installed SiS Raid Driver but I'm not sure what to do with the rest. Thanks.

  • SiS Raid Driver
  • Make SiS Raid Driver
  • SiS Mini IDE Drive
  • SiS AGP Driver
  • SoundMAX Audio Driver and Application.
  • SiS PCI LAN Driver
  • USB 2.0 Drive
If you do not have a RAID setup or a SATA hard drive you do not need the first 3 on the list...
If your vid card is AGP then install those.
Check your documentation for un-installing the ones you don't need if applicable here...

Does this machine have a SCSI hard drive installed ? ?
You never answered this...How do I find out if I have an SCSI hard drive? All I know is that I have two hard drives which are ATA and SATA.

edit: nm my SATA hard drive is SCSI. Rather than risk giving bad or incorrect advice i'll suggest something else at this point...
DLoad and run Everest Home (FREE).
Save the report to a text file and you can copy, PASTE and post the important info here.lol.. the file size is too BIG to fit. I went into report Wizard and under Report Profiles there's 4 options. Am I suppose to CHOOSE one or leave it default? And all of them don't seem to fit so how should I send the text file? Select Computer>Summary from the left hand screen.
Right click in the right hand screen & select Copy All
Paste the details in here.FieldValue

Plenty of possibilities here too.
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/ms793989.aspxI'm quite sure that this error isn't caused by the hard disks. I'm still getting the error message after I had moved 20 GBs of data to another drive on the network. It can't be the RAM either because I tested both RAM sticks by swapping it with another computer. Could it be my motherboard or CPU? Is there anything else I could do? Thanks for the respond.I downloaded SpeedFan and found out that my CPU temperature has been rising unexpectedly so I think that is the reason why I keep getting the blue screen. Right now it's at 56 and still rising so I'm expecting a crash soon. I don't understand why my CPU temperature would overheat when I'm watching videos or using a word processor. Does that mean I need to replace the CPU Fan?
