Solve : Keys rearranged? |

Answer» I installed Norton 360 and also ran my WINDOWS update last week and then shut down my computer. When I put my password in the next day it wouldn't work. I noticed after a couple times that all of my keys were in different places. Like the D KEY when hit is actually the E key and the S ket is the period. All of the keys are in the wrong places and I can't figure out how to fix it. I have tried a new KEYBOARD, same issue. I have resorted to using the onscreen keyboard under ACCESSIBILITY just to function. I have reinstalled windows, I have uninstalled Norton 360 and scanned for viruses.... Any ideas??Go into Control Panel / Keyboard / Properties. What's there? I have reinstalled windowsClean install, or over the top?1. Does the keyboard map properly if you boot into safe mode. Tap the F8 key once a second or faster after powering on your system (and you should get a menu permitting you to select a Safe Mode boot). I reinstalled over the top. Does it make a difference? Windows of course. I will try safe mode. There is no mapping options in control panel and all is normal. BTW, please, avoid Norton!type the "Windows key and U" at the same time. You should get a on screen keyboard. |
