Solve : Language In Outlook Express??

Answer»

Hi: Is it possible to change the language dictionary used for spell checking by Outlook Express? If so, where might I obtain an English dictionary? Thanks for your ASSISTANCE...If you have Microsoft Office installed, you will have spell checking capability in OE.  Apparently, you do not have Office.  Am I right?  The Microsoft Works Suite (not just Works, must but a Works Suite which includes Word) will also add spell checking capability to OE.

If you don't have Microsoft Office or Microsoft Works and you would still like to be able to spellcheck your Outlook Express messages then you can do one of the following:
    * Install a spell checker made  specifically for Outlook Express, such as isota ABCSpell for Outlook Express.
    * Install a spell checker that works in any Windows application, such as As-U-Type.

I do have Office installed, but it is a non-English vgersion of the program...It tries to suggest French words...Thanks..My guess is, as I said in my previous post, you'll need to install a special spell checker.  HOWEVER, since you have Office installed, I SUSPECT you may have to do something to make the installed spell checker function as the default spell checker for OE.  And, I'm really not sure how that would work or whether it would work at all.

Perhaps installing Thunderbird as your email program would work better in this situation.  I believe it has it's own spell checker.  See http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/Many thanks for the Thunderbird idea...Solved the PROBLEM!
