Answer» I've got an old toshiba laptop RUNNING xp pro, and the screen went on it, but everything ELSE works. I've ripped the screen off ( messing around with it ), and now I THOUGHT I might set it up in the shop for INVENTORY tracking sort of thing. Problem is I don't know how to get an external screen running without a screen to set it up. It's a toshiba TE2100, its got USB, ethernet, dvd burner etc. It boots up and sits there looking stupid no problem.Not being able to see the keyboard I can only summise that: usually you connect up the external monitor, and then using the Fn key and either of the F1, F2, F3 etc. keys it will switch between laptop screen and external display. The symbol on the correct button usually looks like a monitor - one with full screen & one hollowed (or similar).Remote desktop may also be an option, but only if you enabled it prior to removing the screen.
