Answer» Hello again! I am still using the Acer laptop PC as before [Aspire 5002WLMi]. My problem may be universal in the laptop world, which I hope is the case.
Now then, the touchpad is stuck in "left click mode" as I call it. Anytime that I try to select one person on "AIM" for instance, it highlights the name instead of right-click to open their menu options. Another example, when in a page with Java-based message boards [MSN's group boards] it wouldn't allow the Java to open the reply WINDOW (as from my experience, Java doesn't let you use the "open in a new window" option).
I've temporarily fixed the problem by TRYING to select text on this message, and so far it seems fixed. My question is: how did the touchpad get that way? Is there a shortcut that I accidentally activated? How can I avoid this from happening again? Is the Synaptics SOFTWARE installed and PROPERLY set up? I usually disable the SCROLL and click functions as I find them dangerous.
