I was WONDERING if it could connect wireless to my house connection
Check Device Manager, if any Network Adapters are listed. Since it's Win 2000 = PRETTY old laptop = I DOUBT, it has any built-in network adapters.
If you won't find any, you'll have to use plug-in network card, assuming the laptop has PCMCIA port.To follow up on what Broni said, if your laptop has a PCMCIA Card slot (old laptops USUALLY do), you will need something LIKE this:
