My CD Drive (Made by Combo) isn't working!

The drive opens and closes, the light blinks, the DISC spins, but it doesn't recongnize any CDs! The icon in "My Computer" is just Local Disc (D: ) and TAKES me to a blank page.

I checked the cords to the MOTHERBOARD and the drive and replugged them.
I reinstalled my driver, no rollback or updates available for it.


The wierd thing is, when I put the disc in my mouse has a disc next to it, so it knows a CD is in there, but nothing happends.

If anybody can help, it would be great, if there isn't any help, I have no choice but to buy a new drive.

NOTE: The game I was trying to install worked a month back, but starting a few weeks AGO the drive stopped working.

Have you tried blowing out the drive with compressed air?

Have you tried different CD's?

Run any antivirus/ antspyware checks?

Alan <&GT;<  Per the other post and response you need a new drive. This one is FUBAR'ed.
