Answer» how can i limit another USERS privileges. so that they are unable to download and install new programs. and so they do not have access to other programs already in the computer. i am an admin on my computer.
i am running win xp sp2.
thanks.Look in user ACCOUNTS on the control panel.i have looked there nothing Not really all that easy with XP Home. Do you have XP Pro?i do have proFab. Give them limited (normal) accounts. Find the program that you want to reduce access to (under C:\Program Files). Make SURE you've got the ridiculous Simple File Sharing switched off. Right-click on the program in question. Head for Properties-->Security. Remove read/execute access from everyone except admin users. Problem solved.there is no security tabThat'll be because you have Simple File Sharing switch on. To turn that off, fire up Windows Explorer. Tools-->Folder Options-->View. At the bottom of the Advanced Options list you'll see the option.that already switched off i switched it on and nothing i switched back off and still nothing.
