Answer» I have a thumb drive that holds a collection of programs. When I use the thumb drive at my school the drive letter (x:\) changes from comp to comp. (all WinXP) I can easily write a AUTORUN.inf with custom right click menu, but can I make a .lnk for the program I want? I already tried "%CD%\winrar\winrar.exe" (in the case of winrar), but it doesn't work. Also "\drive\drive_progs\winrar\winrar.exe" neither does this. Any suggestions?
ThanksYou can change the drive letter for the removable drive to the same letter (for example, drive Z:) on each computer:
Right-click My Computer Select Manage In Computer MANAGEMENT, select Disk Management Right-click the removable drive Select Change Drive Letter and Paths Click the Change BUTTON Select the drive letter in the list Select OK and OK Close Computer Management and restart your computer
