Solve : load library error? |
|
Answer» I have been getting a load library error when XP loads my desktop. It started a couple of DAYS ago while my girlfriend was surfing the internet I guess. The desktop loads and then I get the pop-up window saying that the C:\DOCUMENTS and Settings\All Users\Application Data\wdejojyl.dll module cannot be found. Then the desktop icons flash on and off or it just freezes up. I am running XP Pro Home Edition with no restore disks. I have XP Pro Student Edition on disc as well as Grub and a couple of Linux distro's. Also my only way to connect my computer to the internet is by using my phone as a modem. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I don't know if I can post anything on MajorGeeks through my phoneNo, no....you download HijackThis from their site, and you post HijackThis log here, on this board, just in "Computer Viruses and Spyware" forum: [saving disk space - old attachment deleted by admin]Ooooh....thanks Broni........I don't think that will work though because I only have my phone for internet now that the pc is messed up.It's a very small file....under 400KBBroni just as I thought, I cannot download HiJack This via my phone.....Have someone grab it for you and throw it on a flash drive...install it from there. You can even use floppy...Thanks Broni, that's a good idea. The problem with that though is I don't know anyone around here with a pc and internet. And because of the desktop icons flashing on and off, it's very difficult to open a file or program. Why can't you? Quote Also my only way to connect my computer to the internet is by using my phone as a modemIf your desktop is disturbing, you can try Safe Mode.what about a public library. they will put it on disk for you very cheaply. you might have to become a member of the library thoughThanks again Broni for the response. I can't open files because when the icons flash off, it CLOSES the file. I was able to run my virus\spyware programs though an what they did find didn't help my problem. How is HiJack This suppose to help? And Pat thanks for your response also. Like I was telling Broni, it's difficult to open files before my icons flash.Did you try Safe Mode? As for HJT, you may have some infection. That's why, it'd be important to see HJT log. |
