Solve : Locking Windows XP Pro with CTRL+ALT+DELETE?

Answer» HELLO, I would like to add the ability to my XP Pro to be able to quickly lock it via CTRL+ALT+DELETE. My work computer can do this which is also XP Pro SP2. I searched GOOGLE and I see a Windows+L for locking, but DONT want to do that. Is there a service to allow for this CTRL+ALT+DELETE locking?

When I press CTRL+ALT+DELETE all I get is the task manager, not the menu of Lock, Task manager, logoff, etc...

ThanksOK. Its just easy.

Do the follow,

1. LOGIN with Administrator Privileges.

2. Go to "User Accounts" from Control Panel.

3. Click "Change the way users logon or off" in the Pick a Task list.

4. Uncheck the option "Use the welcome screen" and click "Apply Options" button.

5. Now you can press Ctrl+Alt+Del to see options.

Note: Now your login screen is changed to OLD windows 2000 style. So you must type username and password to login. Also, you should now be able to lock the computer with Windows Key + L. You should already be able to do this without changing any settings......unless it's not your computer

Seeing as this is Windows XP Professional, there is a way to do it with gpedit.mscThanks everyone for all the info...followed the firections from CBSK and now got it the way I want it.

Thanks!!!!
