Solve : LOGING ON XP IS A NO GO?

Answer»

I'M NOT ABLE TO LOG ON MY COMPUTER. WHEN I TURN IT ON, I GET A BLUE SCREN WITH THE WINDOW XP LOGO ON THE RIGHT UPPER CORNER AND THIS MESSAGE -
CHECKING FILE SYSTEM ON C:
THE TYPE OF THE FILE SYSTEM IS NTFS.
THE VOLUME IS DIRTY. CHKDSK IS VERIFYING FILES...
AND IT CONTINUES TO THE NEXT LINE TO CHECK THE INDEXES THEN IT STOPS. NO ACTION PAST THE INDEXES. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANK YOU.Please turn off the CAPS key.

That message may indicate a problem with:
A. The hard drive.
B. The power supply.
C. The main board (MOTHERBOARD)

What brand and model?
Is it a laptop? Did you drop it?
Have you recently made any changes to it?

Does the compute have Windows 2000 on it?
A OEM Dell 2000 CD is under $10 on Amazon. This can be used to repair the system.

Or is it Windows XP? If so, it would be almost ten years to the day. It was August 24, 201 when XP was released.
