Answer» Problem after fresh install of Win XP home -
Switch on & all that happens is a black SCREEN telling me that a certain file is missing - and the pc just keeps on rebooting -
I have had this happen to me before but I wasn't clever enough to write down or print off the SIMPLE solution at the black screen stage -
Apologied for my ignorance but can someone please post the solution to this obvious problem -
All I know is that its a one liner on the command line

Without knowing all I can suggest is you try reinstalling.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q155053/

when windows discovers a fault it will keep re-booting itself TILL it find the error??......as m$oft would say by design....
