Answer» Hi, i recently dug up an old laptop, and tried to TURN it on. however, it wants a password which ive forgotton. i went into SAFE mode and tried to get access via administrator login, but i password protected that too!! does anyone know of a way round this, APPARENTLY there is something to do with an SAM? or i can download something onto my mem stick (flash drive) and put it into the laptop during start up? thanks for your help guys its windows xp, dell PP01L laptop btw if that helps anyone. thanks.Ah, the good old forgotten password story... TAKE it to an official dealer for that brand with proof of legal ownership and be prepared to pay for a password reset. |
