Solve : Lost iTunes Music? |
|
Answer» I recently purchased a NEW Sony Vaio laptop. I successfully transferred over 2500 music files from my old laptop via USB cable. All was fine until the other day when I opened up iTunes and the library was empty. Using Vista's search feature, I looked for the files, but according to Vista they didn't exist. Then I click on "Computer" then the C drive, and there they were?! I dragged them all back over to iTunes and yesterday they disappeared again. My e-mails to Sony and Apple have failed to provide a solution. Any ideas? What Operating System? Vista? Then I click on "Computer" then the C drive, and there they were?! I dragged them all back over to iTunes and yesterday they disappeared again. My e-mails to Sony and Apple have failed to provide a solution. Any ideas? Are you trying to drag files on to Itunes instead of telling Itunes to add a file/folder to the library. In Itunes click on "File" then Click "Add Folder to Library" this should bring up a window that will let you select a folder to have all its contents added to your library. No this was a straight transfer from a previous laptop using a USB and a program called "Windows Easy Transfer". I just did that again and everything is back, but I'm afraid it might happen again. No one seems to have an answer. We don't know enough to give an answer.I think you should brush up on file management skills...unless that app is that crappy it should not happen...Hey, If You Bought The Music From iTunes, All You Do Is Click Login>LOGIN TO YOUR ACCOUNT> Then It Should Say Somthing LIKE "iTunes Found Purchased ITEMS Want To Import"? Then You Click Yes, If Not, All You Do Is Click On File>Import Music> Then It Should Import And Then All Your Music Is In iTunes And Should Stay, iTunes Music Has To Be In The iTunes LIBRARY Not In C:// Or "My Music" Ect, So Just Do That Thanks, Please Thank Me And Check My Posts,New Threads" TorrentIt© |
