Answer» The system that 98se is installed on remains up and running; but thanx to my kiddo's I no LONGER have the sleeve for the CD that the product key is written on. I have searched the registry w/o success.I would very much like to retrieve this code before i need it again to re-install os. My kids are very young, this is bound to happen. ANYONE with an answer please help.type regedit in the run box...h_key_ local _machines click the + sign> then click the software+ sign> then click microsoft+ sign> then click windows+sign>....click the current version + sign> done it will display your ...pd key .. or there are software progams like view xp key etc out there that will tell you your pd.key THANX ALOT. i HAVE RETRIEVED THE KEY.
