Answer» Howdy, Are you worried that you don't see free memory or that the system is not running well?Hi Allan, I was more concerned that this machine appeared to be running slower than I remembered. I wanted to clean it up , file and program wise, and give it to someone who is unable to buy a laptop. EXCUSE THE SLOW RESPONSE, TOOK A WHILE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO REPLY..... Herb Wipe it out. I think it's the F11 key at boot.If you are giving away the system perhaps you should format and do a clean install.Allan That might be a bit BEYOND me capabilities............ Not sure that I have the system installation disks like I had on an older Toshiba... that one had several disks that did what you are talking about, formatted the disk and reinstalled to original condition.. I'm game, if I have the software that you might be talking.. I don't want to waste your time with my novice status.. but am willing to try if you suggest... But sometimes, your computer slows down due to bad files in your registry. There might be missing or corrupted registry files that’s why your computer is very slow. The registry is a very important part of your operation system. And each time you install and uninstall a program, your registry gets congested. It also becomes full of errors. You may have thought that you already cleaned your registry well but you may have not. So, it is better if you will get a good software that can clean your registry and free it from corrupted files.
