Solve : Low Vision Aid Windows 7? |
|
Answer» Ease of access in Windows 7 is very mediocre. The Win 7 magnifier is mice, but not helpful when I do not have the other monitor running. Would be nice if there was a toggle for the magnifier son you could turn it on or off in one keystroke.Press the Windows key along with the plus or minus key to zoom in or out.Magnifier shortcuts: Windows key + the plus SIGN(+) Starts the magnifier Windows key + plus sign(+) or minus sign(-) Zoom in or out Ctrl+Alt+Space bar Preview the desktop in full-screen mode Ctrl+Alt+F SWITCH to full-screen mode Ctrl+Alt+L Switch to lens mode Ctrl+Alt+D Switch to docked mode Ctrl+Alt+I Invert colors Ctrl+Alt+arrow keys Pan in the direction of the arrow keys Ctrl+Alt+R Resize the lens Windows key + ESC Exits Magnifier 1.Right-Click desktop->Personalize 2. Choose "Window Color" from along the bottom 3. Select "Advanced Appearance Settings". You can change font sizes within this dialog. For example, if you wanted larger icon text, but wanted to leave the icons the same size, you would choose "Icon" from the "Item" combobox; then you can change the font and size. You can do this for quite a number of elements. You can also make caption buttons larger. Just noticed JJ3000 already posted this. Oh well. Also, it blabs about it not working for Aero, but that's a outright lie; most of the settings work for Aero (with only a few exceptions, such as setting the active/inactive title bar colour, for example) Quote from: Geek-9pm on June 22, 2012, 03:57:06 PM The Win 7 magnifier is mice, but not helpful when I do not have the other monitor running. Pressing it turns on Magnifier. Pressing it again turns Magnifier off. I imagine some other mice have the feature or have a button which could be programmed to do this. Thanks to all! I didn't know you could do that in Windows 7. Tonight I will TRY the suggestions and report back later. |
