Answer» I'm trying to install some adobe updates but it doesn't want me to have any other programs running during the process, so I shut all my programs down. A little ways into the update installation, it gave me the following error message:
Please shutdown the following applications and click Retry or click Cancel to quit.
lpksetup.exe
Well, I first looked in Task Manager > PROCESSES, but i couldn't find anything by that name. Then I searched my entire computer for that program, and nothing. Then I googled it. All I could find is that it means Language Pack Setup. I even searched my computer for this. But nothing.
Does ANYONE know what this is and how to turn it off? It's driving me crazy! lpksetup.exe is located in C:\Windows\System32 It may be hidden file so... Open Windows EXPLORER. Go TOOLS>Folder Options>View tab, put a checkmark next to Show hidden files, and folders.
I found it!!!
...now what? Download HijackThis: http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/tools/security_tools/hijackthis/download by clicking on Download HijackThis Installer Install, and run it. Post HijackTHis log.
NOTE. If you're using Vista, right click on HijackThis, and click Run as Administrator
