Answer» I have got a ws-2300 weather STATION and to connect to my COMPUTER i need a rs232 9 PIN com port my sony pcv-rx does not have this port so ive got a adaptor to turn my printer port into one. the SOFTWARE for the weather station only give me the option to connect via a com1 to com4 port how can i change LPT1 into com1. can any one help or do i have to bye a expanion card. :-? :-? i'm using win xp home.Do you have any USB ports? Do you need to connect to a male or female connector on the computer? This might be an option: GWC UC320 USB 1.1 to Serial Converter Cable - Retail Edit: Also, doesn't that weather unit also work by wireless connection? If so, a wireless adapter for your computer seems like an option.
