Solve : Mac 8.5 zip drive to windows xp?

Answer»

Be kind, this is my first time.
I have a 250 Iomega Zip Drive on a 1995 Starmax (mac clone) using MAC 8.5. It is hooked up with a SCSI ID. My windows computer does not have a 25 pin SCSI connection. I have a lot of DATA & jpegs on Zip discs and want to drag them into my Windows XP computer. Is there a way to get a driver for the Zip Drive on my Windows computer so it will "read" the old Mac formatted Zip Drive? Also, is there a cable I can buy to convert scsi to usb to make the connection?Quote from: quietgiant on December 16, 2008, 11:28:49 AM

Lindy, Belkin and Adaptec all make USB to SCSI adapter cables. The Lindy one in the picture costs areound 50 UK POUNDS, around 75 US dollars.

On a desktop computer if it has a spare PCI slot you can get a SCSI card and plug the zip drive into that.
