The PROBLEM is intensified since all other upgrades and registrations are unable to upgrade or register. Also, PlayOn (Playon.com) has been initiating for the last two hours, unable to find a server!

What's going on?Problem perhaps with their server...

I could not ping them either.
Me neither... and www.playon.com does not seem to EXIST although a whois query shows that the domain is still owned...

Could you give details of any other sites that you are experiencing trouble with?

It's impossible to diagnose with the supplied information but if you are having trouble with a lot or even all websites it could suggest it may be a CONTAINED problem with your ISP - Which one are you with? Have you checked their STATUS page or contacted them?some companies refuse ICMP requests to their servers.

PING uses ICMP requests.

for example try pinging microsoft.com.
