Solve : MARYBOO NEED HELP?

Answer»

I am getting the exact same problem, after install windows keeps configuring update stage 3 of 3 with 0%. Keeps REBOOTING, this is not good cause I need my LAPTOP for my job, I'm a field engineer. I went into safe mode and it continues to do the same thing, windows says everything is fine and no hardware and or software PROBLEMS detected. What next?

i word it a other way i hope it help for some of you all.

god blessYou keep starting new threads on the same subject. All that does is annoy people and cause confusion. That's right. I am confused because I don't know whether to reply here or back in the main thread.

We did get a new piece of information here, though. You did try Safe Mode. But the language is not clear.

windows says everything is fine and no hardware and or software problems detected.

Does this mean the computer works in Safe Mode, but does not work when you get out of Safe Mode?

You were supposed to try Last Good Configuration. This option is on the same menu as Safe Mode. Did you try it? What was the result?

Did you try Disk to Disk Recovery? Is it something you don't want to do? If you tried it, what was the result?

You have to do a better job of following instructions and giving DETAILED results of what happened when you tried it if you want help.

I put a note for you and michellezen in her thread. Follow the instructions in that article:

This does require a Vista installation disk. I know you don't have one. You need to borrow one. Microsoft is giving them away for customer service issues, but I don't know if they will give you one because they expect Acer to take care of you.

Acer will only sell you a restore disk for about $25. It will wipe your computer clean. The same as the Disk to Disk Recovery I told you to try. Did you try it?Quote from: jkolak on January 21, 2010, 12:19:00 PM

am i doing this right to get back to you. i don't no what i am doing to replies to you.Yes, Maryboo, you are doing it correctly. When you are at the end of a thread, click on the Reply button at the bottom right to just add your comment.

If you want to quote a post, click the Quote button at the upper right of the post. You can cut out whatever you don't want included in your quote.

Here are some prices on Windows Vista.

http://www.google.com/products?q=windows+vista&aq=f

You have to have the same version as the version you are trying to repair.

It is expensive. So you might want to open a Support Ticket at Microsoft and beg them for one. I had a different kind of failure on Service Pack 2 installation. They PRACTICALLY begged me - twice - to send me one. FREE.

Borrow from a FRIEND - also FREE - but harder to find!
