I was looking through the previous questions and found several that are SIMILAR to mine but not exact.
I have an HP Pavilion notebook computer running Windows XP. Recently I had to have the USB ports REPLACED and EVERYTHING was running fine. Then out of nowhere my mass media storage devices stopped working through them. I have tried plugging in my EXTERNAL floppy and a memory stick. Both devices work on my tower so I know they are not the problem. The weird thing is it's only the storage devices that don't work. Anything else I plug in there (mouse, etc) works fine.
I hope someone can give me some direction!

To get there right click My Computer and select manage then disk management...again right click each device and select Properties...
Report back with what it says.
Who did the repairs ? ?
