Hi all, I'm new here. Hope this is the right section to post in. I'm having problems with my new media player. I have my Xbox going into the component in on the media player then from the component out into my monitor (as I'd like to record xbox gameplay). As you will see in the video the color is horrible and the screen flickers every now and again. Theres also a delay from the controller to what I see on the screen.

I have tried a multiple of outputs such as using HDMI, YUV and scart, the same problem occurs. I think if I used the 2-into-1 component adapters (splitting the xbox's leads into my monitor and the component in on the media player) it would solve the delay, color and flickering  issues but the recording when played back will probably STILL be flickery and bad color.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I suggest you call the manufacture support number that is located in the documentation for starters and let them know the issues.


I hope they work it out for you, good luck.Tried calling Emtec, there was a number to call inside the BOX on a leaflet and I also checked the web for number, I keep getting that the number doesnt exist :S

Starting to feel like I was just ripped off. I've sent an email to them... give it 2 days and if I dont get a reply I'll be RETURNING it for the HD PVR, cheaper and a known company.

I will keep this topic updated. Thanks for the help.Personally i wouldn't even wait 2 days...they haven't done anything to deserve that kind of loyalty...Returned it TODAY to pc world. Also tried calling Emtec again, same deal again, problems with the phone number. Thats PRETTY scary, lucky for me, Pc world took it back with no problems.

Will be buying the Hauppauge HD PVR soon. Thanks for the help all.Good Deal...stop back with an update if you wish...
